ALMEERSE WOLUNIE
These small bags were designed for the Almeerse Wolunie. A flock of 200 sheep grazes the green areas of the city of Almere, The Netherlands. The wool is used by members of the Wolunie and is processed to different products.
Design: Lotty Lindeman, 2014
Commission: Stad & Natuur Almere
The wool is felted around a wooden block, creating a seemless construction of the bag. When felting is ready, the shape is cut open and divided in two halves, creating two bags at the same time.
STAD & NATUUR ALMERE
Stad & Natuur is an organisation in Almere which brings a programm of all kind of activities to people. We were asked by them to create a primary school practical lesson kit about wool and the way wool can be turned into a piece of fabric.
It contains some tools we designed and instruction documents for teacher and students.
